NEPTUNE TRIDENT Role: Naval Combat Information Operator

Day job: As a radar operator, I am the eyes of the ship and I collect all the information to make sure command knows what is happening. During Man Overboards, I am a rescue swimmer.

Why did you join the CAF: I joined the Canadian Armed Forces because I was seeking a career where I would have the opportunity for adventure, travel, physical fitness, challenge, camaraderie and learning skills on leadership.

Why you have stayed in the CAF: I have stayed in this organization because as a reservist I am able to go to university and have contracts over the summer. It is a very flexible career, perfect for my busy schedule.

Quote (General): For the rest of my career, I aim to accomplish the Ship’s Team Diver’s course, travel some more and become a successful leader.

Quote (NEPTUNE TRIDENT): I am very excited to visit all these countries, which the Royal Canadian Navy rarely visits. It is a wonderful opportunity to get immersed in a different culture. This is my first official operation, could not be happier!
